Drug Dealing Arrest & Charge on Vauxhall Bridge Road

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Following our notification this morning on an arrest made by the team on Vauxhall Bridge Road, I am pleased to update you that the suspect has been charged & remanded by the CPS for two counts of Possession with Intent to Supply.

As a reminder, the suspect was stopped & searched by your local officers on Vauxhall Bridge Road this morning, and found in possession of over 120 wraps of suspected Crack-Cocaine & Heroin, concealed in their underwear. The suspect was swiftly arrested and taken into police custody.

The suspect in question has been a prolific drug dealer in the area in recent weeks, and the team have worked hard throughout the shift to get them remanded to court. The will be appearing before court in the morning (2nd August) and we will be doing all we can to ensure they continue to be remanded in custody ahead of their trial.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

The consultation paper is available online, as well as a survey to let us know what you think. This closes on the 15 September.
